Oppo is already one of the top players in te budget segment, check out their latest phones.  SO let’s get into the details, I will first cover OPPO R11 then tell the upgrades you will get in the “PLUS” variant and if it is worth your money.

The design as you can tell from the picture looks very much inspired by Apple iPhone 7 Plus. Although in a dual camera setup there are not many options you can place them. The phones have a full metal unibody design. The phone has a 5.5-inch AMOLED full Hd display. The phone has a home button with fingerprint scanner below the screen. On the back, we see the horizontally placed dual camera setup. We can see the OPPO branding right at the centre.

AMOLED displays are known for their power efficiency and performance. The blacks are generally deeper and better.

The phone has the latest mid-range processor from Qualcomm. The Snapdragon 660 that comes as the successor to Snapdragon 652 and 653. The GPU is Adreno 512 which should be more than enough for all the games in Playstore. The Snapdragon 660 is a powerful processor can be said that is behind only the Snapdragon 835.  The Battery is a mediocre 2900 mAh battery. I doubt it will last you a day especially keeping in mind a dual camera setup, people cannot take more photos because camera draws a lot of power. It all depends on optimisation now.

4 GB ram is available and is a good move and will definitely help in faster switching between the apps.

Camera performance:

Well, we don’t know yet. I will update this section when we get better information about it. Although the company states that the phone has 20MP main sensor and 16 MP sensor. The camera is said to have a portrait mode, 2X optical zoom. The selfie camera is of 20MP. The rear camera can shoot 4K.

The phone is going to come with Android 7.1, with an OPPO skin on top( I am expecting stock android 🙂 nope just kidding no chance)

“PLUS” What does it add to?

Well, the PLUS variant is. However, the rumoured upgrades suggest a huge bump in the battery that is a battery of 4000 mAh. A huge screen that is 6 inches. The phone also has a 4GB ram. Well, that is more than enough.

R11 costs CNY 2,999. The phone has a hit a record half a million registrations on JD.com.

Latest rumours suggest that this phone is going to be available outside China and most likely be available Taiwan by next week!!

The red colour in China is a limited edition and is available for an extra cost.
